Our wide range of private banking services includes:

  • current and deposit accounts in sterling and major foreign currencies with all the normal facilities to make electronic payments both in the UK and internationally
  • foreign exchange on both a spot (standard settlement) and forward (non-standard settlement) basis
  • chequebooks available on UK based sterling current and interest bearing deposit accounts
  • extensive narrative to record transactions on statements
  • loans and overdrafts - these will normally be secured against a client's investment portfolio

Bespoke cash management service:

For clients with substantial cash balances we provide a bespoke cash management service.

Using our knowledge and expertise in the money markets we place funds with a panel of top quality banks to maximise clients' returns in accordance with the aim and strategy agreed at the outset.

Our private banking service is provided by Smith & Williamson Investment Management Limited which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

Smith & Williamson is a member of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme established under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. Further details of the Scheme are available on request.
