Our tax investigations group comprises former HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) inspectors, who have worked in the profession for many years.

Who would find this service useful?

The Group provides a comprehensive service to individuals, companies and clients of other professional firms.

We specialise in handling high level tax investigations carried out by Special Civil Investigations (SCI) but we will also provide assistance in respect of any direct or indirect tax investigation.  The Group is also able to provide a service as reporting accountants in criminal investigation cases.  Indeed, one member of the team is an ex-group leader of one of the SCI prosecution teams.

What we can offer our clients

Our services include:

preparation and submission of Code of Practice 9 (Civil Fraud) reports to SCI offices and handle the investigations from cradle to grave.

• dealing with HMRC district investigations
• providing tactical advice to a client’s existing adviser
• acting as reporting accountants in prosecution cases
