Stephen advises on issues involving financially troubled companies. The
advice includes various types of corporate restructuring and reorganisation
as well as formal insolvency.
Qualifying in 1993, Stephen became a Partner the following year and
joined Smith & Williamson in 2000. The firm incorporated in 2003 when
he became a Director, in addition he now sits on the Tax and Business
Services Board.
Stephen follows his Great Grandfather who established the specialist
insolvency firm of Cork Gully and his Uncle Sir Kenneth Cork, Lord
Mayor of London, in advising businesses. He has advised owner-managed
businesses to main listed plc’s as to the options available to the Board as
well as their financiers.
He is the author of a number of articles and is a frequent speaker on
corporate restructuring and insolvency issues.
