Nicola Horton is Head of Media at Smith & Williamson and chairs the firm’s Media Group which brings together people from a number of different disciplines all of whom have an interest in the media sector.

Prior to joining Smith & Williamson in 1998, Nicola spent six years working in the publishing industry, commissioning books and managing lists for academic and medical publishers, Blackwell Science, Mosby International and Prentice Hall.

During her time at Smith & Williamson, Nicola has advised a variety of clients in the publishing, television and entertainment sectors in connection with public offers, AIM admissions, fundraisings and private company acquisitions and disposals.

Nicola is a classics graduate of Cambridge University and also holds an MA from the University of Kent and an MBA Finance from City University Business School.
