Denis Burn

Denis Burn joined Smith & Williamson at the start of 2006 as consultancy partner although he has had an association with the firm since 1990.  He trained as an engineer and worked for 10 years for major employers in the manufacturing sector; during this period he obtained an MBA from INSEAD, France.

In 1990 he was involved in the creation of a management consultancy firm and in 2001 moved on to set up an internet recruitment business providing services on behalf of local education authorities and NHS trusts. The business has since been sold and he has returned to consultancy.

As a consultant, his particular skill is helping directors and senior management teams with planning, strategy change management and the resolution of complex problems. His style is to work with the full team, often in an away-day setting.  He has worked for blue-chip companies, smaller owner-managed businesses, the public sector and voluntary organisations.
