After graduating from Bristol University David worked as a civil engineer for three years before joining Baker Tilly's London office where he qualified as a chartered accountant in 1989.

In 1990 he joined the corporate finance department where he has worked on a diverse range of projects. He was central to the firm's involvement with the passenger rail franchising process and has also acted for Bolton Wanderers FC since 1997.

In recent years most of David's time has been spent acting as a nominated adviser to Aim companies and advising on takeover offers.
