Steve is a Chartered Accountant and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner with 23 years’ experience working in corporate recovery and insolvency. An economics graduate, he qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse in 1983 when he started to specialise in corporate recovery and insolvency.

Steve has considerable experience of all types of restructuring and insolvency assignments, both personal and corporate, across a wide range of sectors. He is known for his considered and pragmatic approach to insolvency issues and is thorough and has a rare attention to detail.

His approach is to achieve the best outcome for the company and its creditors, only using formal insolvency procedures where needed, and he has an excellent track record in achieving going concern sales of businesses to maximise stakeholder returns. He also has significant experience of solvent liquidations, both stand alone and as part of group reorganisations.

Steve joined Smith & Williamson in 2007.
